Often depicted with the antler of a stag like Pan and Herne the Hunter, Cernunnos is the god of fertility, life, animals, wealth and sometimes the underworld. He is worshipped in many parts of the British Isles and western Europe. The depiction of Cernunnos mostly came from the early Christian literatures, commentaries from Greek and Roman scholars and archaeological evidence. Today, many pagan traditions honor Cernunnos as an aspect of the God, the embodiment of masculine energy and fertility and power.
